Is this a family-friendly event?
Yes! Herbie Fully Loaded is rated G for General Audiences and Little Rascals is rated PG for some rude dialogue.

How much does either night cost?
Both nights are FREE!
Will there be any food or concessions available?
Yes, on Friday night the Downtown Effingham Business Group is hosting multiple concession areas around the Courthouse Square and will be selling a variety of snacks--candy, ice cream, popcorn, etc. in order to raise funds to beautify downtown Effingham. On Saturday night, Mid America Motor Works will be providing refreshments for purchase.
Can I bring my own food and drinks?
Yes, of course! Feel free to bring a full meal or your own snacks and drinks. Sorry, no alcohol is permitted.

May I bring my dog?
Sorry, we love dogs but they are not allowed on the county-owned property for safety reasons.

Will there be seating?
No, seating will be on the lawn so we recommend you bring your own chairs or blankets.

Why aren't the movies being hosted inside of The Heart Theatre?
The Heart was demolished on the inside several years ago as part of the preparation for future construction so the auditorium has no seating, nor are there any functioning restrooms. (But join us in a few years and there will be!)
Where should I park?
Several of the roads will be closed on the square starting at 6pm so we recommend you park along any of the streets nearby or in any of the local parking lots. You are also welcome to arrive by foot, bike, or golf cart.

What if I require ADA parking?
Please notify one of the volunteers near the barricaded streets and they will wave you through for limited handicap spots in the Courthouse parking lot.

Why are there donations being collected at the Friday night event?
The movie is hosted for free by The Heart Theatre and our partner, the Downtown Effingham Business Group, is raising money to help beautify the area. Special thanks to Riley Pruemmer for leading those efforts. If you would like to know more, contact the Downtown Business Group here.

Join us with your friends and family on one or both nights. On Friday night, The Heart is partnering with the Downtown Effingham Business Group to host a FREE screening of the film "The Little Rascals." Start time is 8:30pm on the Courthouse Lawn.

As part of Mid America Motorworks' Annual VW FunFest, The Heart is proud to host the film "Herbie Fully Loaded" at 8:30pm on the Courthouse Lawn. Bring a blanket or lawn chair and you are ready to go!
